Richard is an ex-elite Rugby League player who started his career in sport and exercise after an injury forced him to retire from playing in 2010. Fortunately, he had already started on a degree in Sport and Exercise Physiology from which he graduated in 2012 while learning everything he could about Strength and Conditioning.

After graduating he went straight into completing a Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2013.

During this time he started working as an Exercise Physiologist for athletes, sport teams and the within private sector. Two years later he founded his own training studio in 2015 working with both athletes and members of the public as a Personal Trainer and Exercise Physiologist.

During the last 7 years, Richard has specialised in rehabilitating clients post injury, illness and surgery whilst continuing to work with personal training clients.

In 2016 Richard qualified as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and since then his advice has been featured in various articles in publications such as Men's Journal, Organic Authority and Spark People.
